Every student has the ability to learn and should be able to demonstrate progress in their learning.

At Chillagoe State School, our whole school approach ensures a cohesive response to diverse learning needs and consistent practice in a culture of ongoing improvement. This ensures we set high expectations, monitor students progress with school-wide analysis and discussion of student achievement data, and support student learning with quality teaching focused on improving the achievement of every student.

Students across all year levels participate in the Key learning Areas of English, Maths, Science, Technology, Humanities and Social Science, The Arts, Health and Physical Education. Students in years 5 and 6, participate in Languages (Japanese) as part of a Cairns School of Distance Education program.
